Welcome to the Pain RADAR website: Improving Acute Pain
Education
In 2009, a multidisciplinary UK expert panel met to define and
agree a practical framework to encourage implementation of the
numerous guidelines and fundamentals of pain management at a local
level.
This was when the RADAR (Responsibility, Assessment, Discussion,
Anticipation and Response) Approach was born and a Consensus Statement
was written. We strongly feel that pain should be on everyone's
radar - it is not only the responsibility of the acute pain
specialists.
We hope that this website will provide information for you to
learn about optimising pain management. There is also a section of
free downloadable training materials for you to help your team
improve acute pain management in your hospital.

If you are interested in hosting a RADAR meeting then please create a meeting account and
you will be able to access meeting materials. Your meetings can be
as big or small as you want to make them.
